What began as a relatively simple remodel and addition quickly grew to nearly a completely new construction project, taking the existing house right down to the studs. It was a complicated project, involving many trades, craftsmen and changes in scope. Steve handled it all with the confidence and precision of a master conductor, and remained a gentleman throughout. He is a person of considerable character, with absolute integrity and honesty, and brings with him a team of like-minded professionals. I have great respect for Steve. He has managed multiple projects for me, and I would not hesitate to call on him again.

When choosing a builder for our remodel, we wanted someone we could trust, connect with, and still respect at the end of the process! Bruce and I choose Schuster Homes to build our cottage on Lake Charlevoix because Steve seemed so honest. We felt that we could trust him to build the vacation home of our dreams. We liked that he was always accessible to meet with us in our Clarkston kitchen and go over blueprints for hours until we felt confident that everything was just perfect. He always had a vision and the ability to walk us through his vision until we were all on the same page. The expertise that Steve had in building made me wonder why on earth did we hire an architect. It would have saved us a lot of money if we would have hired Steve first!
We built a new house previous to this one and let me tell you, everything was different! Never did we feel like we were being ripped off or lied to for his benefit.
